Kirkcaldy firefighter Stevie McCrorie delivered a knockout performance almost literally when he blazed a trail on BBC One’s The Voice on Saturday night.
The Fifer pulled no punches as he won the vote of coach Ricky Wilson in the “battle” stages.
But there was drama as Stevie, 29, accidentally punched coach Ricky on the nose.
The wannabe had just taken part in the nail-biting battle rounds where he was in a sing-off against Tim Arnold when he got carried away with the excitement of it all.

As Stevie walked off the stage with his Kaiser Chiefs frontman mentor Ricky, he suddenly threw his hands in the air and made the accidental contact.
Ricky said: “You nearly knocked my nose off!”

Father-of-one Stevie, a member of Kirkcaldy Fire Station’s Blue Watch, watched the recorded programme on Saturday with friends and family, including wife Amy, at the golf club in his home town of Alva, Clackmannanshire.
Fellow firefighters who entered him for the fourth series were also glued to their screens, eager to see if Stevie made it to the next round, the Knockouts.

Stevie said: “I’m really shocked. You come into this competition as nobody and never actually think you can compete with these people.”
He added: “There was just a total sense of relief when Ricky went for me.”
