One of the most recognisable landmarks on Scotland’s busiest motorway has been transformed as part of the Scottish Poppy Appeal.
Three giant poppies have been painted on the iconic grass pyramids by junction 3A on the M8 as part of this year’s campaign.
A timelapse video showing staff from the BT Murrayfield stadium and specialists from Linemark UK painting the flowers near the Pyramid Business Park in West Lothian has been uploaded to Facebook.
The poppies will be seen by thousands of motorists every day and the Scottish Poppy Appeal hope it will help raise awareness of their fundraising campaign to help support members of the armed forces community in Scotland.
The theme of the 2015 appeal is “Donate like you mean it” and people can support this year’s appeal by taking a video or photo selfie using the hashtag #MyPoppyMeans and sharing on social media, as well as donating to Poppyscotland.
