A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being hit by a car near Stirling.
Police are appealing for information about the accident which happened on the A9 near Muirpark Truck Stop in Sauchenford between 11pm and midnight on Tuesday.
The 44-year-old man was walking on the road at the time.
Sergeant Andrew Thomson, of Forth Valley division road policing unit, said: “We are keen to hear from anybody who may have seen the man, who was wearing dark clothing, walking along the A9 from Plean to Bannockburn between 11pm yesterday, Tuesday June 4, and midnight. The driver of the car was unhurt but left badly shaken.”
The man is in a serious condition in Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
