The Dundee University student injured in a racing car crash last week is improving in hospital after brain surgery.
Joseph Purslow (19), from Cumbria, was at the wheel of a car built by the university’s DRIVE Formula Student team when it hit a barrier at the Knockhill circuit in Fife.
A spokeswoman for Fife Constabulary said: ”His condition is improving. He is off a ventilator and responding to commands.”
The university and Formula Student are investigating the cause of the crash.
