It’s Valentine’s Day time to show your love with the timeless gift of a shopping trolley coin

Valentine’s Day and what better gift than a musical chicken?
That’s right, a new survey has revealed some of the rather more bizarre gifts given to loved ones on the most romantic of days.
Other gifts (brace yourselves) making what could perhaps be termed as a list of shame include new a wooden bucket, a pineapple and surely what every woman wants a shopping trolley coin.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed one lucky lady celebrated Valentine’s with a set of new teeth.
Rather more mundanely the survey showed that jewellery remains the most popular gift though how disappointed that makes the recipient feel when they realise other people have received a musical chicken is sadly not recorded.
Apparently one in four women can expect to receive jewellery on Valentine’s Day.
For those who receive a proposal to go with their jewellery, one in five engagement rings will cost in excess of £750, with the national average costing £573.
The average Brit buys their gift seven days in advance with an average spend of £65 more than enough for a musical chicken AND a shopping trolley coin.
