At last! It took until September but forecasters predict full week of sunny weather

A late burst of summer sunshine which has brought delight to residents across Courier country is expected to remain for the rest of the week.
Temperatures of around 17 and 18 degrees are forecast for the Tayside and Fife patch over the coming days.
Although some cloud cover is expected, conditions are likely to stay dry with Friday being particularly pleasant.
After a mixed summer holiday period, described by the Met Office as the coldest and wettest for three years, the surprise return of sun and blue skies has been warmly welcomed.
The best of today’s sunshine has been in west Perthshire and around Stirling, with maximum temperatures of 18 degrees.
Tuesday is expected to be warmer, but with more clouds.
It will be brightest in the west of the region with sunny spells in the afternoon.
