Police probing war memorial flag vandalism release CCTV image
ByThe Courier Reporter
Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to trace after the Union Flag on a war memorial at a rail station was vandalised on Armistice Day.
The flag was taken from its mount at Glasgow’s Central Station and damaged at 1pm on November 11, two hours after the country fell silent to remember those who gave their lives for their country.
British Transport Police believe the man in the photo may have information which could help their inquiries.
He is dressed in dark clothing and is wearing a rucksack and carrying a bag.
Detective Constable Derek Jackson said: “I am appealing to anyone who recognises the man in the photograph to contact me as a matter of urgency.”
