Search continues after mayday call from boat near Oban

A search is continuing for a missing fishing vessel with one person on board which made an emergency mayday call to the Coastguard.
The message, which said the boat was “going over”, was broadcast to Stornoway Coastguard at 1pm on Thursday.
Teams were searching an area close to Easdale Island, off the west coast near Oban.
A number of vessels are said to have responded to the mayday call while Oban Coastguard rescue team, the RNLI lifeboat from Oban and a Royal Navy search and rescue helicopter from Prestwick were scrambled to the scene.
