A woman who was found dead in a nature reserve has been named by police.
The body of Margaret McNolty, 52, from the Woodend area of Aberdeen, was discovered at Maidencraig nature reserve on the edge of the city at about 11am on Tuesday.
The death is currently being treated as “unexplained” and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
A total of 18 officers are working on the case, including an underwater search unit, search teams and detectives.
Police have made a fresh appeal for sightings of a woman wearing a distinctive bright orange hooded top walking a black Collie dog in the Den of Maidencraig area in the early hours of Tuesday.
