A mum who tipped the scales at nearly 20 stone has bagged a national slimming award, and her dream job, after shedding almost half her body weight.
Amy Richardson’s staggering yet gradual weight loss has earned her the title of Slimming World’s Miss Slinky.
She has also earned a job as a PE teacher in her home town of Halifax, West Yorkshire something she thought she would never have a chance to do before she dropped to around 11 stone.
Miss Richardson, who has recently got engaged, said: “I’ve always wanted to work in sport and, being overweight, it wasn’t something I could do.
“My mum joined Slimming World and I decided it was time to see if it would work for me.”
