Harry wins himself a real comical caper in the Beano
ByThe Courier Reporter
Five youngsters have been turned into characters in the Beano as part of a campaign to encourage children to play outdoors.
Harry Wilson, 11, is the latest fan to feature alongside Dennis the Menace and friends as part of the National Trust’s 50 Things To Do Before You’re 11 And Three Quarters initiative.
He is pictured cycling around the Wimpole Estate on the Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Border.
Harry, from Bristol, said: “When I found out I was going to be in The Beano I was really excited.
“I suppose I can be a bit naughty sometimes like Dennis the Menace but I don’t think I’m as bad as him.”
Jessica Swales, eight, from Malham in North Yorkshire and Mia McDade, eight, from Stockport, have already appeared in the comic. Two more children will appear in future editions.
