Christmas is guaranteed to be merry and bright in Courier Country this year.
Residents from all over Tayside, Fife and Angus have been decking their halls, walls and sheds with colourful lights.
The Courier has compiled a special Christmas light trail featuring some of the best displays in the local area.
While some people have bathed their house in festive cheer for their own amusement, others have created impressive shows in the name of charity.
Although LED decorations feature heavily on most homes, tradition is still at the heart of the festive season.
Owner of the Nutcracker Christmas Shop in Crieff, Robert Newman revealed what attracts customers to his unique store.
“People are still looking for a traditional Christmas,” he said.
“The same people come here every year to find something special to add to their tree.
“This is the busiest time of the year for us, although we find that customers enjoy coming in at other times to get their Christmas fix.
“The most wonderful thing is when customers come in with their children and you hear the young ones getting excited about everything, like our nativity display.
“I get the biggest kick when people are happy and enjoy the experience.”
