Pupils from SS Peter and Paul and Park Place primary schools took to the stage at Dundee Rep in the final session of the four-year national arts education programme SPARK.
Working with the city council’s education department, the project has been devised by the Rep’s creative learning team.
Over the past five weeks the team has worked with P5, P6 and P7 pupils, helping them develop scripts and their own interpretations of three Scottish legends.
The children also had the opportunity to create a soundtrack with musician Craig Brown.
The SPARK project has been managed by West Yorkshire Playhouse, with over 50 schools in the UK and Republic of Ireland taking part.
A total of 600 children took part in the Dundee workshops, based on Scottish myths and legends, to develop literacy skills.
