Worldwide travel chaos has failed to stand in the way of a long-established Angus exchange link with Germany.
For around a quarter of a century, Forfar Academy has enjoyed a tie-up with the Friedrich Ruckert Gymnasium in Ebern, Franconia, and the latest continental contingent arrived for a week-long stay following a coach journey to Scotland.
The German visitors 22 pupils and two members of staff yesterday saw Glamis Castle and will this week visit Stirling, St Andrews, Edinburgh, and Dundee, with a farewell ceilidh planned for Friday evening.
The connection will be strengthened with a group of Forfar pupils going to Ebern in June.
