There were plenty of interesting suggestions - including the 1993 Timex strike. The strike began on January 29 after the timepiece company, based on the Timex Brae near Camperdown Park in Dundee, announced it would cut wages and make 110 staff redundant. As a result a ballot of workers showed 92% in favour of industrial action, and 343 walked out. Timex responded by sacking them.
