James Corden has revealed that he has had surgery on his eye and will not be able to host his US chat show “for a few nights”.
The actor, comedian and TV presenter revealed that he had the minor surgery via his social media account, adding that he is “doing well and recovering”.
The Gavin And Stacey star added that he would be taking a short break from presenting The Late Late Show.
He wrote on Instagram: “Hey all, I had to have minor surgery on my eye yesterday.
“I am doing well and recovering, but won’t be able to film new episodes for a few nights.
“Thank you to everyone who has been watching The Late Late Shows from my garage.
“I’ll be back soon. Stay safe and well everybody.”
The Late Late Show has been presented from Corden’s home during the coronavirus pandemic after filming was initially suspended.
Corden has been hosting The Late Late Show since 2015 and last year extended his contract to host the programme until 2022.
