British holidaymaker killed by motorboat in Malaysia

A British holidaymaker has died after being hit by a motorboat while snorkelling off a tropical island in Malaysia.
Madaline Cole, 25, from Hereford, was in the waters around the tourist island of Pulau Perhentian in the South China Sea when she was struck yesterday.
According to reports, she was caught by the boat’s propellors and suffered severe injuries to her body, legs and buttocks.
A spokesman from the Foreign Office said: “We are aware of the death of a British national in Malaysia on May 27.
“We are providing consular assistance to the family at this difficult time.”
