International rocker The Edge lived up to his name after taking a plunge off a stage.
It was anything but a beautiful day for the U2 guitarist, who showed more than a hint of vertigo when he plummeted off a walkway and into the camera pit.
The group were performing their encore at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver when the 53-year-old walked straight off the raised platform.
A video posted online of the incident shows the guitarist misjudging the unconventional shape of the stage while strumming away.
He later posted a picture of his injured arm on Instagram saying: “Didn’t see the edge, I’m ok!”
Frontman Bono has taken a dive on several occasions.
He fell backwards at a Miami concert in 2001 and dislocated his arm by slipping off a rainy stage in Washington DC in 1987.
He also fell in 1983 during a gig in Germany.
Last November he underwent five hours of surgery after breaking his arm in six places and suffering a broken eye socket as a result of a “high-energy bicycle accident” in New York.
