After much blood, sweat and tears the winner of this year’s MasterChef: The Professionals will finally be revealed tonight and there’s a good chance he might be from Courier country.
All week, viewers have been transfixed at the exploits of the three finalists, Adam Handling from Dundee, Scott Davies from St Andrews and Steven Edwards from Horsham who are all battling it out for the coveted title.
Tonight, the trio face their most difficult challenge to date to cook the best three courses of their lives for the MasterChef judges, legendary double Michelin starred Michel Roux Jr, top chef Monica Galetti and veteran diner Gregg Wallace.UPDATE: Click here for the resultIn just three hours Adam, former head chef at the Fairmont in St Andrews, Scott, head chef at The Adamson, also in St Andrews, and Steven, head chef at The South Lodge Hotel’s Camellia Restaurant in Lower Beeding, must bring together an succulent starter, a mouth-watering main and a delicious dessert for the ultimate critique.
The dishes must show off their culinary skills and prove they have taken on board all they have learned over the course of the series and the execution has to be perfect, the flavours mind-blowing and the presentation jaw-dropping there can be no room for even the smallest kitchen mishap.
