Jailed Stuart Hall faces further sex abuse allegations
ByThe Courier Reporter
Fresh allegations have emerged against disgraced former BBC presenter Stuart Hall after he was jailed for indecent assault against young girls, police have confirmed.
Lancashire Police said they are working “closely” with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) after receiving the allegations.
No further details have been given but Hall is reported to be facing five further allegations including the alleged rape of a 12-year-old girl.
“We can confirm that we have received further allegations against Mr Hall and we are working closely with the Crown Prosecution Service to determine the most appropriate course of action,” a Lancashire Police spokesman said.
Hall’s victims welcomed a move last week by Attorney General Dominic Grieve to refer his prison sentence to the Court of Appeal for being too soft.
The 83-year-old was jailed last month for 15 months after admitting 14 counts of indecent assault.
