An English Championship footballer has admitted assault after a brawl in a pub.
Ipswich Town striker Paul Taylor, 25, from Rendlesham, Suffolk, was arrested after the incident at the Robert Ransome pub in Ipswich last October.
At Ipswich Crown Court, he admitted assault causing actual bodily harm to Shaun Grey.
Olatunde Ademuyiwa, 24, of Beechway, Liverpool, also admitted actual bodily harm and assault by beating of another man, Gary Harper.
Taylor, who appeared in the dock in a grey suit, dark tie and white shirt, was granted bail on condition that he does not go to the Robert Ransome pub. The court heard that he has no previous convictions. Both men will be sentenced on June 25.
Taylor has been out of the Ipswich Town squad since breaking a foot during a match in September. He has played just three times since completing his move from fellow Championship side Peterborough United in August.
