Pregnant Jessica Simpson jokingly issued a warning to expectant mothers after breaking her toilet seat.

The actress and singer, 38, is expecting her third child with husband Eric Johnson and shared her latest pregnancy mishap on Instagram.

Simpson posted a picture of her holding up the toilet seat she broke off after leaning against it.

She captioned the post: “Warning… Don’t lean back on the toilet when pregnant.”

It is not the first time Simpson has shared her pregnancy struggles. In January she posted a picture of her swollen foot and asked fans if they had any remedies.

Simpson announced she and Johnson, who she married in 2014, were expecting a child in September.

They are already parents to daughter Maxwell Drew, six, and Ace Knute, five.

Simpson found fame as a teen pop star in the late 1990s before starring in MTV reality series Newlyweds: Nick And Jessica with her first husband Nick Lachey.

The show ended in 2005, with their marriage following shortly afterwards.

Simpson has since starred in films including The Dukes Of Hazzard and Employee Of The Month.
