A teenage boy has suffered serious injuries in a street stabbing in Salford.
The 17-year-old has been taken to hospital though his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Police were called shortly before 2.45pm on Tuesday to Tatton Street in the Ordsall area of Salford to reports the teenager had been stabbed.
A cordon is in place and police have launched an investigation.
A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said: “Shortly before 2.45pm on Tuesday April 2 2019, police were called to Tatton Street in Ordsall to reports that a 17-year-old boy had been stabbed.
“Officers attended and the boy was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
“No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.”
