An Angus woman who had seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren has died aged 101.
Amy Christie was born at the Grange of Conan and later moved to Denfield, attending Keptie School.
After completing her education she worked as a domestic in a number of large houses in and around Arbroath before marrying Charlie in 1933.
A year later the couple had their first daughter, Amy, followed by their second child Nora in 1938 and then Sheila in 1944.
For seven years the family lived in Auchmithie while Mr Christie worked at Mains o’ Auchmithie, before moving to Cauldcots Farm, where they stayed for 18 years.
After a brief spell at Fullerton Farm in Meigle they moved to Arbroath.
Mr Christie died in 1990 and in her latter years Mrs Christie resided at Seaton Grove Care Home.
