Ruby Anderson was born and brought up in the city’s Trottick Mains and attended Morgan Academy. Her father Frank Henderson was a well-known Angus farmer who owned a dairy. After marrying her late husband George, who worked in the jute industry for Thos. Duff & Co., Mrs Anderson lived for a time in India. She later moved to Beach Tower in Ralston Road in Dundee but spent her latter years at Inchmarlo House, a retirement community near Banchory. Mrs Anderson is survived by her daughters Hazel and Fiona, three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
