Paul Smolenski was proprietor of the Whip Inn on Liff Road for nine years until his retirement. He had spent the last four years living in Majorca. He suffered a heart attack on July 6. The former pub owner was the only son of Muriel and Kazimierz. He is survived by his father, his wife and two children, Lisa and Erik.
