A Dundee writer, whose poetry raised more than £20,000 for charity, has died aged 86.
David Craigie Taylor was born and raised in Lochee and attended Ancrum Road Primary School and Logie School.
He worked in the jute mills until his retirement, but found he had a flair for poetry after doing so. He published eight volumes of verse, writing under the nom de plume DCT.
However, he donated all of the money he earned from his books to various charities over the past 20 years. Ninewells Hospital and Save The Children were just two of the beneficiaries of his generosity.
His daughter, Anne McGregor, said, “He raised something like £20,000 but he never made a big fuss about it.”
Mr Taylor is survived by his wife Elizabeth, daughter Anne, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
