Former teacher Jane Gates known as Sheena has died. She was 67.
Mrs Gates, nee McDonald, was born in Dundee.
After training at Craiglockhart College of Education in Edinburgh she taught in Glasgow and south of the Border before returning to Dundee and taking up posts at St Andrews Primary and then Invertay Primary School in Monifieth.
Mrs Gates became one of the original members of staff when Grange Primary School opened, and remained there until she retired in 2003.
Mrs Gates, who was divorced, is survived by her daughter Anne Marie and son David, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
