Today’s letters to The Courier.
Dr Blair Grubb, who for many years was a member of the medical staff at Sunnyside Royal Hospital in Montrose, has died suddenly at the age of 79.
Born in Dundee, Dr Grubb was educated at Harris Academy and graduated in medicine from St Andrews University.
All his medical practice was in Tayside, the early part spent in hospitals in and around Dundee, until, in 1964, he joined the medical staff at Sunnyside.
He remained there until he retired in 1992.
A former president of Montrose Rotary Club, he enjoyed a long and happy retirement and his interests included golf and country dancing.
Above all he enjoyed his garden and time spent at home with family and friends.
Dr Grubb is survived by his wife Maureen, son David, daughter Jane, daughter-in-law Karen and grand-daughter Isobel.
His brother Iain still lives in Kirriemuir.
