It was a disappointing day all round for Dundee against Inverness.
Losing at home is always a bitter pill to swallow and the Dark Blues were left feeling like they had completed an I’m A Celebrity bush-tucker trial when Caley scored late on.
David Clarkson’s remarkable scoring run also came to an end, leaving him one short of equalling a club record.
However, injury was also added to insult with Greg Stewart and skipper Kevin Thomson having to leave the field with knocks.
Boss Paul Hartley said he thought his captain was only suffering from a touch of cramp or a slight hamstring scare.
The manager will certainly be praying that the “Curse of Inverness” has not struck again as the last time Dundee played the Highland outfit, Thomson hurt his calf in the opening minutes of that game and was subsequently out for weeks.
Hopefully for Dundee, that will not happen again as Thomson has been inching back to his best in recent weeks.
The prognosis on Stewart was not clear and again, the manager and all Dundee fans will be keeping their fingers crossed that his injury is not a serious one.
The former Cowdenbeath front man has been an inspirational signing and his loss would be a huge blow for the Dark Blues.
