Cross party and no party for Perthshire candidates Tasmina Sheik and Gordon Banks
ByKieran Andrews
IN A recent diary, I noted the cross-party switching of the SNP’s candidate for Perthshire South and Ochil, Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh, which tickled a few folks
round Holyrood.
Now an interesting photo has made its way to me showing the former Conservative candidate back in the days where she was rather enthusiastic for Mid Scotland
and Fife Tory MSP Murdo Fraser.
What a lovely baseball cap!
LET’S NOT let the man she’s trying to replace off the hook, though! Gordon Banks has a fine reputation as a local MP and has been quite reasonably talking that up in his election leaflets, which are now dropping through constituents’ doors.
A lot of facts and figures are mentioned but what’s left out is more curious.
There’s not a single mention of the Labour Party anywhere on the leaflet, much less any reference to the party’s leader Ed Miliband.
