Dundee boss Paul Hartley recently admitted the injury crisis at Dens was the worst he had known in his time as a manager.
Well, that miserable run of luck certainly shows no sign of abating.
Last Thursday, Hartley had already resigned himself to being without Gary Irvine, Iain Davidson, Luka Tankulic and Paul Heffernan for the Ross County game, then he lost Paul McGowan to a training ground injury on Friday and David Clarkson to a virus.
A bad situation was made even worse during the defeat in Dingwall when top scorer Greg Stewart had to limp off just before half-time.
Then, shortly after the hour mark, skipper Kevin Thomson had to be replaced by Simon Ferry who has just returned from injury himself.
Dundee now have a break before their next scheduled game but Hartley admitted last week that he would have preferred his players continued playing instead of having an enforced rest.
However, there is every chance the manager has now changed his mind on that score.
He will no doubt be hoping the break will finally see that long injury list clearing and by the time his players do get back playing again, he will have something approaching a fully-fit squad to choose from as Dundee chase their top six dream.
