This coming week in The Courier we will be running a four-part series looking at the world of aesthetic surgery. The focus will be on the rules, regulations and results.
Where do I come in? Well I have started a journey, a journey into the world of cosmetic surgery. And it is proving to be an emotional one.
Before I decided to have any procedures I did my research and I prepared my skin. I read articles, I looked at stats and I studied my face.
It’s a face I’ve had for over 50 years and it’s one that reflects laughter, loss and life lived.
As I write, that face is as a well-skelpted thing and I am trying to stay away from mirrors and shiny surfaces. It has also been pointed out to me that I ought to steer clear of small children and persons of a nervous disposition.
Sticks and stones and all that
Over the next few days I’ll let you know how I travel and next week you can see the results.
