Take a look around you at the world we have come to know.
Is it really much more than a complex treadmill, upon which we toil, hamster-like, until our brief time on this planet is snuffed out often in the cruellest and most painful of circumstances?
Stop. Come back.

Find out in Monday’s riveting (ha!) Courier.
In other news, Sunday saw the grand final (semi in one case) of Strictly Come Sports X-Factor Personality of the Year.
What a night it was too.
All the fall-out in Monday’s Courier.
People just love the snow. But how were conditions on the slopes over the weekend? We investigate.
Meanwhile, if there is one great thing about this time of year it is the ability to silence your cacophonous kids by bellowing: “RIGHT, that’s you on Santa’s bad list.”
But what’s this?
Some do-gooding psychology boffins have claimed parents who make such warnings may be doing lasting damage to their darling offspring.
Pah.
