Monday, it could very well be argued (and somewhat persuasively at that), marks the traditional beginning to the working week.
However, it need not be all doom and gloom. Far from it.
For starters, you may love work.
Secondly, this particular week’s Monday is a bank holiday meaning some local souls are not working at all.
Quite aside from that (and thirdly if you favour a straight forward numbering system) we have a very bright Courier to ensure you have a simply splendid day.
Allow me to elucidate. We have, in no particular order:
*All the latest from Mo Fest as thousands descended on Montrose (hence the Mo) for a festival (hence the Fest). Glorious.
*Pictures and words from the Atholl Gathering. Our coverage will conjure up the skirl of the pipes and drums. And such like.
*The big weekend in Glasgow. It was a weekend. A big one. Lovely stuff.
*The European election count. All the fun of the fair as the votes are counted as Scotland elects new MSPs.
Ahem. I admit that last one is not quite in keeping with those joyous events which preceded it. But hey-ho, it’s important and significant nevertheless.
In other news, we have more on the dramatic blaze which caught the eye of A9 motorists on Saturday. I called it dramatic. And that’s because it was. Hugely.
We also have boffins talking about greenhouse gases. It’s all to with hot air. Arguably in more ways than one.
If you are one of these people who likes nothing better than seeing other people happy then (a) well done, you’re a lovely person; and (b) you will love Monday’s Courier. That’s because we have a full page of wedding pictures. Which really is just terrific.
For more on all of these stories, and indeed many more, please do pick up your copy of Monday’s Courier. Failing that, why not try our digital edition? It will make you equally happy, only in a non paper-based way.
