VIDEO: The View and Gary: Tank Commander strike up an unlikely friendship at T in the Park

One of the great things about T in the park is that you never know who you are going to meet and strike up a bond with…..no matter how unlikely it might seem.

Very different people can be become firm friends after three days of mud, sweat, and beers (it can be a great social leveller).

This has never been as true as when one of Scotland’s most famous soldiers – Gary: Tank Commander: joined Dundee band The View at Strathallan.

The Courier caught up with Corporal McLintock as well Kieren and Kyle from the band backstage after their appearance on Sunday afternoon.

But despite his best efforts Gary failed to persuade the Dundee rockers to join him in the army.
