Unlike Sir Bob Geldof, we do like Mondays. In fact we love them. And here’s why.
After The Courier’s series on private parking proved such a hit with put-upon motorists we decided not to let the matter lie.
Last month we revealed the body of legal opinion which suggest private parking charges are unenforceable.
There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth from hard-pressed drivers who have stumped up hundreds of pounds for the privilege of leaving their car in a parking space that a company doesn’t fancy them using.
And in Monday’s Courier we have an exclusive that is set to ratchet the anger levels up even further. DO NOT miss it.
Elsewhere, we have the remarkable tale of a dog rescued from a horrific house fire in Fife.
The poor pooch cowered under a bed while the inferno blazed but somehow, it escaped unscathed. The full story and pictures are in Monday’s Courier.
One thing that could have got us down about this particular Monday is the cost of a stamp. They’re going up 2p and 3p from tomorrow. Frankly, bad news.
But it’s more than tempered by the fact some unlucky punter is going to have to pay £12 million to get his hands on just one of them.
It makes the paltry 62p we were about to complain about seem rather good value. Read about the remarkable sticky wonder in full.
And we have pictures of Lorraine Kelly getting to grips with Dennis the Menace at Dundee Airport. Plane crazy.
We have full coverage of the vital ice hockey clash between Fife Flyers and Dundee Stars and a full round-up of the sporting action from across the globe.
Start your week with a magnificent Monday by buying The Courier or trying our digital edition.
