Sock-knocking-off revelations abound in Friday’s Courier.
A majority of people born in Scotland (53% to be precise) voted Yes in September, compared to just 28% from the rest of the UK and 43% from outside of Britain.
Food for thought.
As is news that the so-called “Vow” was not decisive.
More persuasive was the fear that Scotland would be worse off if independent (26.3% of No voters said that).
Meanwhile, protestants were more likely to vote No, with Roman Catholics saying Yes.
If stats like that get your juices flowing, then hold on to your hats (and aforementioned socks) because we have MUCH more of this research for you to feast on (metaphorically speaking).
In other news, we have more from Voice star Stevie McCrorie. In an exclusive interview he tells us how thrilled he is by the support from YOU – Courier readers. If that doesn’t give you a warm and fuzzy glow I don’t know what will.
If exam results and school performance floats your boat then don’t miss Friday’s blockbusting Courier.
We (that’s a royal “we” minds far greater than mine dealt with the arithmetic) spent the day number-crunching so we could lovingly pull together all the stats you need for an at-a-glance guide to the grades achieved at secondary schools throughout Courier Country.
Friday night also saw the first tete-a-tete (that’s head to head for those who aren’t expert linguists) between Edward Miliband and David Cameron Ed and Dave to their friends. But Edward and David to me.
Our political editor Kieran Andrews Keezo to me provides his expert analysis.
* Simply terrific fare in Friday’s Courier and without doubt the best 70p you will ever spend (at least until the next red-hot edition of The Courier hits the shelves). Be sure to pick up your copy or perhaps try our digital edition.
