Coming up in Saturday’s Courier Grouse madness (The Return)
ByGraeme Bletcher
Fans of Coming Up Corner will no doubt still be chortling from the heart-warming tale of Jock the Grouse who likes nothing better than going head to head cars in Perthshire (the wee feathered scamp!)
Well if you liked that particular winged gem then yer gonna love this one.
Coming up in Saturday’s Courier we have the (literally) unbelievable tale of a second headline-grabbing grouse who has set up home on the Isle of May off the Fife coast.
Not a massive scoop in itself, I grant you, but when said avian is thought to have flapped his almost flightless wee body for 40km just to get there you start to appreciate his efforts.
Needless to say local ornithologists are in the mandatory bird-related-story flap.
All reports that Jocky the Second may have hitched a ride in a boat have been neatly (and rightly) dismissed.
Other tit-bits from our jam-packed paper include an exclusive on tragic Fife tot Mikaeel Kular, a former MP being told to leave a Dundee pub after a stand-off with staff, and an interview with a Tayside runner who was caught up in the Boston bombing.
Don’t miss it!
