Another defaced poster of candidate ‘beyond acceptable’

Angus Conservative candidate Alberto Costa has again had an election poster vandalised, this time with paint and stickers bearing anti-Unionist sentiments.
It has emerged that further vandalism has been carried out to posters just south of Letham, on the road between Forfar and Arbroath.
Roadside posters have been defaced with white paint and those responsible have added what appear to be devil’s horns to Mr Costa. Stickers proclaiming Scottish, Not British have been placed on the posters.
This week, Mr Costa said the vandalism was beyond what he would expect as part of the normal political fight in the election campaign.
“This goes beyond silly moustaches and what I should be expected to tolerate,” he said.
“I hope all the candidates will say this is beyond what is acceptable.”
The wording of the posters has also been painted over from Alberto Costa Conservative, to read A Costa Con.
This week it emerged Mr Costa had made a formal complaint to police after two men were allegedly spotted defacing a billboard in the early hours at the top of Rossie Braes, south of Montrose, on the A92.
