First Minister Nicola Sturgeon will hold talks with Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond on the refugee crisis.
Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is due to meet Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond later today to discuss the refugee crisis and the European Union (EU) referendum.
The UK Government has responded to the crisis facing Europe by pledging to take 20,000 refugees from camps on the borders of Syria over the next five years.
The Scottish Government has called for more to be done, including help for those refugees who have already arrived in Europe in their thousands.
The politicians, who are meeting in London, will also discuss the in-out EU referendum, which the UK Government intends to hold before the end of 2017.
The SNP administration says it will campaign in favour of remaining within the European Union and has warned against Scotland being “dragged out of Europe against its will”.
