The parliamentary standards watchdog is being urged to investigate MP Michelle Thomson over her links to a series of property deals currently under investigation by the police.
Conservative MP Andrew Bridgen said he is writing to the parliamentary commissioner for standards Kathryn Hudson asking her to investigate the conduct of the Edinburgh West MP.
“This case raises serious questions regarding the professional integrity required from a prominent public servant,” he said.
Ms Thomson, who has resigned the SNP whip in the Commons, denies any wrongdoing and has said she will co-operate fully with the police inquiry.
She has been linked with property deals involving Christopher Hales, a solicitor who was struck off by the Scottish Solicitors’ Discipline Tribunal for professional misconduct involving 13 transactions in 2010 and 2011.
