Corey Taylor begins a two-match suspension for Tranmere against AFC Wimbledon.
Taylor was sent off for the second time this season in last week’s defeat at Lincoln so will get Christmas off.
Ishmael Miller and Evan Gumbs are long-term injury absentees.
Aaron Chapman will continue in goal following his emergency loan from Peterborough last week, with Scott Davies set to be out well into the new year.
AFC Wimbledon boss Glyn Hodges has no fresh injury worries.
The Dons moved three points above the relegation zone with a 2-1 win over Doncaster last week.
Hodges still has players sidelined, though, with Anthony Wordsworth (calf) not ready for a return.
Kwesi Appiah’s ankle injury is set to keep the forward out for at least another six weeks, while Michael Folivi, Will Nightingale and Reuben Collins are sidelined.
