Grant Murray not yet confirmed for Raith Rovers duties next season

Raith Rovers boss John McGlynn is still waiting to find out whether club captain Grant Murray will be playing at Stark’s Park next season.
McGlynn, who released 15 players earlier this month as a cost-cutting measure, is hoping to retain former Hearts defender Murray but has yet to hold talks with him.
The player went on holiday at the end of the season and he is now at the SFA coaching centre in Largs.
McGlynn said, “It has been difficult to sit down with Grant as he and team-mate Laurie Ellis are doing their coaching badges this week. But we are hoping to try to fix up something soon.”
Meanwhile, McGlynn said there had been no interest from other clubs in last season’s top goalscorer John Baird.
Baird, who is under contract at Raith for another year, has intimated his desire to move to the SPL.
However, McGlynn insisted there have been no inquiries about the player.
