Montrose FC will welcome members of their 1984-85 championship winning squad to Links Park for Saturday’s match against league champions Livingston.
On May 4, 1985, a goalless draw with Stenhousemuir earned the Gable Endies the single point they needed to clinch the championship, and win their first league title.
Under the direction of manager Ian Stewart, the team saw off challenges from promotion rivals Alloa and Dunfermline Athletic, finishing the campaign with 53 points from 39 games.
Ex-player and manager John Sheran has organised the reunion. Those confirming attendance are Ray Charles, Les Barr, Neil Forbes, Mark Bennett, Steve Lennox, Alex Wright, Martin Allan, Bobby Street, Mick McManus and coach John Smith.
Sheran also has former Montrose favourites Kenny Brown, Gary Murray, Bruce Morrison and Steve King coming along.
The players will also be at the end of season trophy presentation at the Links Hotel.
