Brechin have been hit with a big blow following the news that summer signing Callum Tapping has been ruled out for at least a month.
The 21-year-old former Hearts midfielder sustained the knee injury during Saturday’s 5-0 demolition of Stirling Albion.
He was examined by the club physio on Tuesday night and will now undergo a scan to determine the full extent of the damage.
McKinnon said: “We will be sending Callum for a scan as it looks like he has knee ligament damage. His injury occurred due to the way he landed rather than any contact.
“The physio thinks he will be out for between four and six weeks but we will know more once he has had the scan.
“I am gutted for him as he has been doing really well for us since he came in. This setback is a big blow for Callum and the team.”
