Cowdenbeath boss Jimmy Nicholl is lining up his fourth loan signing in as many weeks in time for the Fifers’ Championship clash against Hearts at Tynecastle on Saturday.
The Cowden boss has been busy in the loan market in the last few weeks bringing in 20-year-old defender Marcus Fraser from Celtic and strikers Calum Gallagher (20) from Rangers and Kudus Oyenuga (21) from Dundee United.
Now he is close to finalising another short-term deal for an SPL midfielder as he continues to strengthen his side in a bid to get away from the bottom of the table.
Meanwhile, Nicholl, who already has three players out with long-term injuries, now has worries over full-back Dean Brett and midfielder Lewis Milne.
Both have picked up knee injuries and the boss is keeping his fingers crossed they will recover in time for Saturday’s game.
