ByThe Courier Reporter
Former Hibs, Celtic and Scotland attacker Derek Riordan has still work to do before being given a route back into the game at Brechin City.
The 31-year-old made a 13 minute appearance as a trialist for the Glebe Park side as they went down 2-1 to Stranraer on Saturday however talks over a longer stay have still to take place.
The three-times capped Riordan is keen to get back to playing regularly with Brechin boss Ray McKinnon saying: “Derek has been training with us for a couple of weeks but is obviously short of match practice.
“Nothing more than training and playing as a trialist which he can do for three games has been discussed.”
