Former Dundee United midfielder Ryan Gauld scored his first goals for Sporting Lisbon last night but still ended up on the losing side.

The 19-year-old, who joined the Portuguese side in a £2.2 million deal in July, netted twice in the first 20 minutes of the League Cup Group C tie with Belenenses.
