Forfar freshen up

Forfar aim to leave a mad March behind them by coming through what will likely be a tough home test against second-placed East Stirling tonight.

The Loons have endured a torrid month which saw their play-off push temporarily derailed, but boss Dick Campbell is confident they are back on the right track after a convincing weekend win at Elgin.

Campbell has a full pool to choose from and despite being well pleased with the weekend line-up he is still of a mind to freshen things up.

“It was a great result for us on Saturday and a great team performance, but I probably will change things,” he said.

“The rotation thing we are trying seems to be working after our bad spell earlier this month.

“The players understand that it’s about getting the three points and they are well versed about how I do things.

“The objective at the start of the season was to get to the play-offs and this game is a biggie.”

The Station Park crowd looks like being assured of an all-action encounter with league and cup clashes being free-scoring encounters between the pair this season.

East Stirling head coach Jim McInally may look to give Saturday’s goalscoring substitutes at Stranraer, Andy Rodgers and Stephen Maguire, a start after they rescued a point for his side.

Centre-back Craig Tully is likely to continue on the bench as he looks to build up his fitness after breaking a bone in his foot in February.

Midfield pair Paul Weaver and Scott Johnstone are both expected to miss out again through injury.
